Your tools.
Your choices.
This notice covers this beta website and NeroNook’s plugin library. Independent plugins also have their own connections, permissions and service providers.
This website
The site has no advertising, analytics scripts, external fonts or automatic microphone, camera or location requests. Its workspace illustration uses sample content. The hosting provider necessarily processes network requests and may retain operational/security logs. The site runs on ChatGPT Sites; this is not an Apple-hosted website.
The plugin library
Opening or refreshing the library requests a signed catalog over HTTPS. Downloading requests the selected release package. These requests reveal ordinary network metadata to the host, including your IP address and NeroNook library user-agent. They do not send your installed plugin list, account credentials, recordings, transcripts or workflow contents. No NeroNook account is required for catalog downloads.
The app saves a verified catalog locally for browsing. Temporary package downloads are removed after installation, cancellation or failed verification. Installed versions and retained native executables are saved locally for management and recovery.
Independent plugins
A plugin owns its settings, sign-in and integrations. Native plugins run their own application code; declared capabilities are not a substitute for a system sandbox. Review the publisher, required access and macOS prompts before enabling an integration.
Speech, assistants, weather and connected services have different data paths. Review each plugin’s settings and provider terms. Enabling a cloud feature may send the content needed for that feature to its provider. Choosing a local feature must not silently redirect it to a cloud service.
Permissions and removal
macOS controls access such as microphone, accessibility, calendars and location. You can review these in System Settings. Disable or remove a plugin in NeroNook. Native plugin credentials and settings may remain for reinstallation; use that plugin’s Forget/Disconnect controls to manage its own data. Removing a lightweight module removes its saved module state.
Feedback
The feedback template is a local text file. Nothing is sent automatically. Share only what is needed to describe the issue, and exclude credentials and private meeting content.
For beta support instructions, see Guide & feedback. This notice will be revised as distribution and support services are established.
